The nation celebrates Pakistan's 50th Defense Day

Islamabad, Pakistan: Pakistan celebrated its golden anniversary and, as we know, the 50th anniversary of the 1965 war, which is celebrated on September 6. The Pakistani Air Force will celebrate its day on September 7th and the Pakistani Navy will celebrate September 8th in what is known as the 50th Defense Day.

One important factor in the celebration was the confusion over the name of the holiday, as three different names were used, including: "50th Anniversary of Pakistan Defense Day", "50th Anniversary of Pakistan Defense Day" and "Golden Jubilee of Pakistan Defense Day".

Pakistan defeated India ruthlessly in September 1965, just over 15 days later, and the largest battle tank ever built since World War II was used in that war. The Pakistani government and the Pakistani army have jointly staged over 1000 events in all cities, towns and cities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Defense Day. State and the private media put on spectacular talk shows that were accompanied by special contests to celebrate this historic day. The Pakistanis honor Defense Day as a great event in the history of the country, just as the 1965 war brought the entire nation and the armed forces together to defend the national border of their homeland.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan visited the graves of those killed in the 1965 war in Lahore, and the Pakistani army commanders celebrated the event in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

In the morning, the nation honored this event with a minute of silence, paying tribute to those who sacrifice their lives to protect the Motherland.

Radio Pakistan and Pakistani Television Corporation held special broadcasts to celebrate Pakistan's Defense Day. An air show took place in the capital of Pakistan - Islamabad.

On Pakistani Radio's Nukta-e-Nazr program, defense analyst Dr. Muhammad Khan said that this year we could confidently say that we have achieved great achievements in many ways against our enemy. All forces together did a lot on this day with unity and faith. In other words, it was the right time to celebrate our glorious past.

He said our enemies should know that today we are in a much better position to defend our country with a well-trained military force. Defense Major General (ret.), Analyst Farooq Iqbal said that with the loyalty of the people and the help of Allah Almighty, Pakistan gloriously defeated its enemy in the 1965 war. Air Defense Marshal (Ret.), Analyst Arshad Chowdhury stated that the Pakistani Army and Pakistani Air Force were fully capable of responding to Indian aggression in a very effective way. And our nation was fully motivated, and the armed forces were ready all the time to protect the integrity of our country at any cost.

The India - Pakistani War began in September 1965 when India attacked Lahore in the early morning. The then President of the Pakistani Army, Military General Ayub Khan, addressed the country on Pakistani Radio and announced that Pakistan was at war with India.100 million Pakistani citizens whose hearts recited the Quran tirelessly until the cannons of our enemies fell silent forever. Indian politicians could not understand what kind of people they are fighting. There is a strong belief in our hearts that we are on the side of truth and justice in this war.
